Assignment 01
"A Gift For Someone You Can't Meet"
Task
individual
In this assignment, I was required to design a gift in conjunction with a friend's birthday whom I am unable to meet and celebrate with in person due to environmental hazards that demands being locked indoors. It was during this process that I was tasked to learn and apply the stages in design thinking namely empathy, define, ideation, prototyping and presentation. The submission requirements include a digital or manual representation of each stage with explanations and infographic elements.

Reflection

1. Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
During the initial stages of the assignment, I was able to learn and apply skills in analyzing and defining problems faced by my friend. Upon doing so I had to find a solution which can be integrated into the gift creatively and effectively.
2. Intrapersonal Skills
Since this was one of the first few assignments which I was tasked to complete in my first semester, I had to learn to cope with multiple projects at once and get used to changing my mindset for the different aspects evaluated in each project which were all individual work.

3. Digital Literacy
During the prototyping stage, I was unable to materialize the gift physically as it was too complicated. Therefore, I had to make use of digital softwares like Blender 2.8 to build a 3D representation of the gift and provide a clearer view of my idea to my tutor, lecturer and friend
