Assignment 1(B)

"Nature Dialogue"

Task

group

In this assignment, I was required to work in a group of 4 to develop a conversational video which depicts our findings on a setting assigned to us, specifically the Sahara Desert. The video has to be presented with illustrations/infographics to facilitate the viewer's understanding of the subject and should include a clear appearance of each team members' face in the video. The required topics of discussion include types, function characteristics, the importance, benefit or positive and negative aspect of it, how humans and living things (biotic) adapt/depend/survive in the natural setting, the positive/negative impact of human activities or built environment towards the natural setting and possible ideas to overcome the issue.

1. Communication Skills

As one of the first group projects assigned to me, I had to learn to communicate with my team members through various online platforms since we couldn't meet physically. We also had to learn how to protray our thoughts and share information effectively through our video.

2. Interpersonal Skills

As one of the first group projects assigned to me, I had to learn about team dynamics by understanding the potentials and weaknesses of my teammates. Although i wasn't the leader, I tried to make sure the team was on the right track and that we were progressing at a stable rate.

3. Digital Literacy

Besides finding information for the video's content online, I also had to learn to use new video editing softwares, especially for making subtitles which were assigned to me. I also had to learn to change the video file formats to enable the use of certain recorded videos in video editors.
