"My "X" Hometown"

In this assignment, I was required to recall, study and virtually revisit my hometown in order to visualize the ambiance/environment, built components, social and culture through tangible and intangible components. This assignment can be divided into two parts. The first part requires me to provide a key plan and location plan of my chosen hometown, along with its background/history, significant components/ elements or landmarks and the main accessibility to the area. The second part requires me to choose an area within the location plan and look into a list of its tangible and intangible components, as well as identifying my favorite or sentimental part of the area before ending it with a conclusion. All information obtained are to be illustrated on A4 sized papers combined into a pamphlet which can be folded.

1. Lifelong Learning

In this assignment, I was required to conduct research on my hometown by myself through online platforms. Even so, I was able to locate, extract, synthesize and utilize the information efficiently, even during my conversations with my parents to compare the information available.

2. Citizenship and Global Perspectives

During my study on the intangible components of my hometown, I had to be aware of the opinions of people from diverse perspectives. This is especially important to obtain, define and interpret the view citizens have for the place they reside in.

3. Digital Literacy

Like many of the other assignments, I was required to use digital platforms in order to obtain information I need for this assignment's completion. This time, I also used ICT to obtain points and perspectives of others on the area of study.
